Japan, XIX century. Затоiчі - сліпий мандрівник, що заробляє на життя грою в кості й масажем. But behind this unassuming image hides a fighter who wields a sword artistically, who has lightning-quick reactions and strikes with stunning accuracy. Zatoichi arrives in a town located high in the mountains, which is under the rule of the Ginzo clan. Zatoichi and his loyal young friend Sinkiti meet two geishas in a gambling establishment. As dangerous as they are beautiful, Okinu and her sister Osei have come to town to take revenge for the murder of their parents. Незабаром лиховісні поплічники Гіндзо починають полювати за Затоiчі. Zatoichi and his legendary sword must have numerous fights not for life, but for death...
