The film is based on real events. "Cruel Ring" is an amazing and dramatic story of Victor "Young" Peres, a Tunisian boxer with Jewish roots, world champion in the lightest weight, who died in 1945 in the Auschwitz concentration camp. This is the story of his rise to the world boxing podium, the story of his love and courage, which proved to be stronger than the cruelty of Hitler's criminals. "Cruel Ring" is a film about the strength of the spirit, which helps to persevere, which is especially relevant today for the Ukrainian people. This film is a reminder of a tragedy that must not be repeated. And about the fact that under any circumstances one must remain human.
