There is an ancient belief that once a year, on Halloween, the gate between the world of the living and the world of the dead opens. On this day, evil is practically all-powerful... During the nighttime holiday parade in New York, Professor Mike Kohl's young son disappears without a trace. The police are unable to find the child, but after investigating on their own, the father learns that some powerful ancient curse has been taking the children every year. To get his son back, he has only one chance - on Halloween night to go to the other side of the gates of darkness...
