This work of citizen and spy, explorer and painter, chronicler and adventurer, so well described by many authors, from Casanova to Gilles Perrault, is not a good definition of the profession of a film artist, which could be applied to Renoir, Becker, Vigo de l'Atalante, Duvivier, as well as Truffaut or Demy. To Max Ophuls, as well as Bresson. And to lesser-known directors - Grangier, Greville or Sacha, who, at the turn of the stage or film, highlight emotion, reveal surprising truths. I would like this film to be an act of gratitude to all those cinematographers, screenwriters, actors and musicians who came into my life. Memory warms: this film is a little coal for winter evenings.
