A year after the mysterious disappearance of an 8-year-old girl, her grieving family returns home from a memorial service in their small town. That same evening, strange lights in the sky and unusual sounds appear in the nearby forest, and supernatural events begin to occur, which quickly escalate and take an unexpected turn. It soon becomes clear that the source of the light appears to be aliens from another world, who do not have very benevolent intentions...
