They do not unravel a series of puzzling evidence. They don't spend time in forensics labs. They rarely use guns. After all, their main weapon is the mind. Members of the FBI's elite unit have learned to think like criminals and save dozens of human lives every day. Instead of carefully examining the evidence, they try to find and understand the motives of the crime, delving into every step of the criminal and trying to think like him. Working at a crime scene, these professionals seem to investigate it from the inside, trying to understand the criminal's thoughts, no matter how dark they may be.
